About me
Martha Gabel serves as the Fine Arts Coordinator for Olathe Public Schools, overseeing more than 200 educators in Music, Theatre, Visual Art, and Debate/Public Speaking. A leader in arts education for more than 30 years, she focuses on curriculum development, standards alignment, and districtwide program growth.Gabel began her career as an elementary general music teacher and later supported professional development and curriculum work as a teacher leader. She holds two master’s degrees from Baker University and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Missouri–Kansas City.At the state and national levels, Gabel has served as President of KMEA and the NAfME Southwestern Division. She currently serves on the NAfME Council for Music Program Leaders and co‑chairs the Professional Learning and Programming Committee. She remains a strong advocate for high‑quality, equitable arts education for all students.
